The registration form can be downloaded for printing below or picked up at the Jefferson County Animal Shelter to be filled out. Please bring it to the shelter, located at 2727 Hannah Drive, Madison, IN 47250, when completed.

CASH OR CHECKS ONLY

Make checks payable to "Friends of JCAS"

These can be mailed to or paid in person:

$20 PER PERSON

Early registration through September 8, 2026

 

Payment of CASH or CHECK may be sent or dropped off at the shelter by September 8.

​

AFTER SEPTEMBER 8th: $25 PER PERSON

Late registration will be available at the event beginning at 7:30 AM.

Every paid participant will receive a commemorative bracelet at check-in!

 

BRING YOUR DOG!

 

Dogs are welcome to participate!

 

All participating dogs must:

• Be current on their rabies vaccination. PROOF REQUIRED AT CHECK-IN!

• Be non-aggressive

• Remain under their owner's control at all times​

• Remain on a leash at all times

Please bring proof of rabies vaccination on the day of the event.

 

THE WALK

 

Check-in & Late Registration: 7:30 AM

 

Choose your own distance and walk at your own pace. Participants are welcome to run, but this is not a timed race.

 

No times will be recorded, and no prizes will be awarded.

 

Along the route, stop at our interactive stations to learn about animal care and connect with fellow animal lovers!

PARKING

 

Please park in the middle parking lot in front of the hospital entrance. Do NOT park by the Emergency Room entrance.
